Corporate Social Responsibility – The Symantec Way

In less than a week, I will be in Arequipa, Peru. I am looking forward to seeing the other team members who have been selected for three different projects as part of a corporate social responsibility initiative by Symantec. As the days go by, I feel a sense of pride and also excitement at this opportunity. This is a chance for me to apply the skills that I have acquired during my career to help the local community in Arequipa.

Arequipa

I will be working with my colleagues, Marq Bauman and Allyson Gomez from the United States. Our team will be assisting the Center of Research, Education and Development (CIED) which is a local NGO that predominantly supports rural economic development and women empowerment. Our mission is to analyze their current organizational structure and resource allocation. We will need to come up with a new organizational chart, a change management process and succession plan with a focus on sustainability.
